Our Mission
The mission of the POY Foundation is to deliver essential assistance and care crucial to enhancing the quality of life and fostering sustainable communities. Our endeavors encompass a diverse range of initiatives, including but not limited to skills acquisition, financial aid through small business micro-grants and loans, and the payment of medical bills for the indigent population in Imo State, Nigeria. We are committed to ensuring the availability of comprehensive support services, such as health education, counseling, and outreach, as integral components of our mission.

The goal of our strategic plan is to ensure POY Foundation focuses on its priorities particularly on empowering women. Recognizing the unique ability of women to nurture and contribute to the well-being of their families, we aim to equip them with the necessary experience and knowledge to thrive in the evolving societal landscape. Our primary healthcare focus is on enhancing women physical and mental well-being through preventative care and mental health counseling.
To effectively address poverty in all its forms, our strategic plan emphasizes adequate resource allocation for our work. We also strive to establish partnerships with communities and other philanthropic organizations.

Challenges:
- The primary concern for most Nigerian women is to satisfy the basic human need of their families. Therefore health advocacy efforts, especially targeting adult women in post-reproductive years, face low priority. Topics such as healthy nutrition, cancer prevention, and mental health support for issues like abuse and domestic violence are not adequately addressed.
- Empowerment initiatives, including outreach, health education, skills acquisition, and business start-ups, encounter major hurdles such as inconsistent power supply, inadequate clean water availability, poor sanitation and hygiene, and other financial competing interests.
Opportunities:
- Within the communities where POY operates, there is a pool of highly motivated and dedicated women seeking opportunities to unleash their God-given potentials.
- Additionally, POY have willing partners who are committed to serving their communities. Together, these opportunities serve as a foundation for impactful and sustainable change.
